Unless you’ve been completely out of the loop in recent years, you’ve heard of the many benefits of drinking red wine. It’s well known that red wine, in reasonable amounts has benefits for your heart and your body overall. But did you know you’d have to drink a dozen bottles of wine to get the full benefit?

Well, you’d have to drink the case — that’s 12 full bottles — of wine each day before you’d see the effects. And of course we’re not talking about all of the negative effects that this kind of behavior would have. But there is a solution. Just isolate the good stuff in the wine, and take that, and get rid of the bad stuff.

Resveratrol in supplement form is good for your body but doesn’t have the same bad effects as all that alcohol. Resveratrol works on a cellular level. It will make for cells that are stronger and also that heal quicker. And stronger cells means that you have less of a chance of developing things like cancer or diabetes.

Does your family have a history of heart related diseases? Never fear! Resveratrol is here to help as it reduces the risk of heart related diseases.

But it doesn’t stop there. If you want to lose weight, resveratrol is a great option here as well. If you take resveratrol supplements as directed, you can increase your metabolism and energy and counter the effects of a less than perfect diet.

And that’s not even the best part. Those are just some of the benefits resveratrol has been shown to have in the lab. But the real reason people are so excited about it is for one amazing quality.

Everyone is looking for the fountain of youth. And resveratrol is as close as we’ve come to finding it. Now of course this doesn’t mean that you’re going to live to be 200. But it does mean that resveratrol could very well extend your life, and keep you healthier well into your later years.

The other benefit of resveratrol relates to this thing called the French paradox. This refers to the fact that the French generally have much lower rates of heart disease than people in the United States, even though they need a diet that’s high in fat. We’ve long known that red wine is probably responsible for this. But until recently we didn’t know that it was the resveratrol in the red wine that was ultimately responsible.

Researchers now believe that resveratrol it is actually able to switch on something called the longevity gene in your body’s cells. It actually makes you healthier on a cellular level, giving you increased energy, helping you heal faster, and making you healthier overall.

But that’s not even the end of the story. If you are at all worried about typical and common degenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s, you should know that resveratrol has been shown to reduce plaque buildup in your brain. It’s this that causes Alzheimer’s in the first place. So being able to reduce or avoid it, puts you at a lower risk.

Remember, these are only a few of resveratrol’s benefits. But these are amazing enough that it becomes easy to understand why so many researchers, doctors, and influential members of the media, are starting to report on this and recommending that people look into it.

To sum up… studies are suggesting that by taking resveratrol supplements, you’ll be able to live longer, make your heart healthier, and even sharpen your mind. That’s enough for me to give this stuff a try. What about you?

It should be pretty obvious that the overwhelming evidence points to resveratrol being a very important supplement for anyone who wants to increase their longevity and maintain their health into old age.
