The Persian cat is recognized the world over with its cute face and long and glossy coat of hair making it one of the most popular cats. Their fluffy coat hides a strong and muscular body on their short legs.

There are many variations in the Persian cat breeding including the hair color and different characteristics. The cats have been categorized into groups and some are more valuable than others based on the owner’s preference.

Some of the exotic varieties of the Persian cat are as follows:

The majestic white Persian cat is the most popular of this magnificent animal. The adorable pink nose and paw pads in leather make it elegant and cute at the same time.

The white Persian has mesmerizing copper colored or a deep blue pair of eyes which are highlighted perfectly with its white coat of hair.

Another solid colored beauty is the rich chocolate brown version of the Persian cat. With its deep brown chin and lips and contrasting red leather on the nose and paws this cat is truly a mesmerizing ball of color.

Silver & Golden Persian Cats

This category of Persian cats features some very special varieties such as the Chinchilla silver. This cat has a pure white undercoat with the tips of its hair on the back, head, tail and flanks tainted in black.

To further add to the brilliance of the Chinchilla silver, it has pure white ear tufts, chest, stomach and chin while the rims of its nose, lips and eyes are lined with black. The color combination of the hair makes it glow like silver.

Smoke Persian Cats

The shell cameo also known as the red chinchilla is another top variety of the Persian. Its white undercoat is topped with red tipped hair on its back, head, flanks and tail.

The sweet face and small legs have slightly red tipped hair which makes the Persian cat stand out among the crowd.

Tortoise Shell Persian Cats

Another exotic variety of the Persian is the tortoiseshell. This one has its white undercoat covered with an exterior coat tipped in shades of black and red.

The unique color combination has contributed to the popularity of the tortoiseshell Persian cat.

Tabby Division Color Persians

This Persian cat has a pattern of rings rising up from its short legs all the way across the body coupled narrow pencil strokes and dense markings.

The forehead is marked with an M like shape and two long lines run all the way down from its eyes following the spine making it one of the most coveted exotic Persian cats.
